Corner Canyon’s brain technology is designed to assess areas of the brain that are not communicating optimally through neurotransmitters to other areas of the brain and body, and use mild electrical impulses to stimulate the brain cells and improve this biocommunication. Protocol includes 3 phases of assessment and treatment, each 30 days, working with different problem areas, and can be completed remotely if necessary if the client has finished treatment.
This report, click below, is an initial scan on a client who had experienced sexual trauma as an adult. You can see that she has concern areas in anxiety, flashbacks, distrust of others, and other areas typically associated with trauma. While this scan is not diagnostic, our therapists can use these insights to guide questions while determining how to help clients, in addition to the intervention provided by the Neuro Enhancement. Negative scores indicate an area that is underperforming in biocommunication, while positive scores indicate that that brain area is trying to compensate for an underperforming area. The goals of intervention are to bring all scores to a center point, essentially balancing the brain so it can work optimally
Neurofeedback is a research-based modality that helps shift how your brain produces and distributes electrical frequencies and helps heal your brain from mental health, cognitive and behavioral issues.
Neurofeedback is a method of training brainwaves to alter the structure and function of the brain to overcome certain symptoms. This concept is based on a neurological model known as Neuroplasticity. Research has proven that when we learn something, the brain alters its structure and function. Through repetition, the brain becomes more efficient in its ability to retain what is being repeated. Neurofeedback is a training method that teaches the brain how to produce more normalized brain wave patterns by creating new neuroplastic connections in the brain. As brainwaves normalize, the client’s brain can better regulate itself, and many of the symptoms that the client is experiencing begin to diminish and fade away. During neurofeedback, individuals are connected to a computer using noninvasive, painless sensors. The computer reads their brainwaves, and when brain waves appear properly ordered, it feeds back that information to the client. This feedback appears in the form of a game, movie, or sound that tells them when their brainwaves are ordered correctly. For example, if brain waves move in a more ordered direction, then the picture on the monitor gets brighter. If the brain wave patterns move away from an orderly pattern, the screen gets darker. This exercise provides a built-in incentive for the brain to organize itself into a more orderly fashion because it has a natural drive to see the movie clearly and brightly. This form of learning is known as Operant Conditioning, and just like learning to ride a bicycle, the new brain wave pattern becomes a permanent part of our behavior. Follow–up studies on neurofeedback show that the effects continue for up to 30 years.
