Innovative Approaches

Clinical Model

Corner Canyon Health Center’s purpose and focus is restoring our clients to full health as quickly as possible. We build on our comprehensive assessment and clinically validated treatment methods with innovative treatment modalities to accomplish this. In the last several years there have been significant advances in seemingly unrelated fields that have been researched and studied and found to have significant impact on mental health and addiction treatment. Corner Canyon incorporates those that have clear value to our clients, if clinically appropriate, once they have been studied and validated. Some of these modalities include:

  • Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy
  • Comprehensive Genetic Testing
  • Nutritional Psychiatry
  • Advanced Clinical and Trauma Training for Therapists
  • Neurofeedback
  • Gut Brain Diet
  • Stellate Ganglion Block (SGB) shot

What is Neurofeedback?

Neurofeedback is a type of brain training therapy that uses real-time feedback from a qEEG (quantitative electroencephalogram) to help individuals learn how to regulate their own brainwave activity. The goal of neurofeedback is to improve brain function by teaching individuals how to control their brainwaves, which can lead to improvements in a range of mental health concerns.

Neurofeedback is beneficial for the treatment of mental health concerns because it is a non-invasive, drug-free approach that can be used to address a wide range of issues. It has been shown to be effective in treating conditions such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD, insomnia, and addiction.

One of the benefits of neurofeedback is that it is tailored to the individual. Each person’s brainwave patterns are unique, and neurofeedback therapy can be customized to address their specific needs. This personalized approach can lead to more effective results than traditional therapies that take a one-size-fits-all approach.

Another benefit of neurofeedback is that it can provide long-term benefits. Rather than simply masking symptoms, neurofeedback therapy can help individuals learn to regulate their own brain activity, which can lead to lasting improvements in mental and emotional health. Additionally, because neurofeedback is a non-invasive and drug-free therapy, there are fewer side effects compared to traditional medication-based treatments.

Overall, neurofeedback is a promising therapy for the treatment of mental health concerns. While further research is needed to fully understand its effectiveness, early studies have shown promising results, particularly for conditions such as ADHD and PTSD. As more research is conducted and technology continues to advance, neurofeedback therapy may become an increasingly popular and effective treatment option for a variety of mental health concerns.

We do not accept Medicare or Medicaid.

We are a private pay program, and are out of network with most insurance companies. We have success securing single case agreements with many companies, however, the rate of payment on those varies with the insurance company and we cannot guarantee what they might pay. We will run a Verification of Benefits (VOB) when we receive your insurance information so you have a general idea of what your insurance policy may reimburse, however, that is an estimate based on what all people insured by your company have received from your insurance, not a guarantee of what they will pay in your case.

On average, Corner Canyon’s clients receive a portion of insurance reimbursement 85-90% of the time, but the amount varies from minimal repayment to full reimbursement. We have a team of insurance advocates who are invested in helping families secure as much reimbursement as possible.
