Psychological Testing

Upon request Corner Canyon Health Centers can refer individuals for additional Psychological Testing, for a separate cost. These options include more in-depth Psychological testing, Career and Aptitude testing, Neuropsychological testing, and Psychosexual testing, among others.

Testing

More extensive Psychological testing than the basic testing that Corner Canyon offers upon admission. This testing, which usually results in a report that is 20-40 pages, can cover
  • Emotional and mood disorders
  • Learning Disabilities
  • Early Childhood Development
  • ADHD
  • Executive Functioning
  • Autism Spectrum Disorders
  • Social/Relationship concerns
  • Giftedness profile
  • Disruptive Behavior Disorders
  • IQ and Educational Attainment scores

Career and Aptitude testing

These tests assess personality traits, values, interests, and skills. This type of testing can provide useful insights about what type of job would best suit an individual. We offer this kind of testing at our Transitional living level of care at Corner Canyon Health Centers.

Neuropsychological Testing

Neuropsychological testing measures how well an individual’s brain is working. It tests memory, language usage, attending, processing speed, reasoning, problem solving, mood and personality, and more.

Psychosexual Testing

A psychosexual evaluation is a battery of examinations that uses scientific testing methods to evaluate a person’s sexual and psychological functioning. The psychosexual examination assesses sexual interests to see if there is any deviation from generally accepted sexual values and sexual behavior.
These are the additional testing measures we already have access to, however we have connections who can help us find other types of testing if requested.

GETTING THE HELP YOU NEED AT CORNER CANYON

We do not accept Medicare or Medicaid.

We are a private pay program, and are out of network with most insurance companies, however we are in network with Tricare. We do have success securing single case agreements with many companies, however, the rate of payment on those varies with the insurance company and we cannot guarantee what they might pay. We will run a Verification of Benefits (VOB) when we receive your insurance information so you have a general idea of what your insurance policy may reimburse, however, that is an estimate based on what all people insured by your company have received from your insurance, not a guarantee of what they will pay in your case.

On average, Corner Canyon’s clients receive a portion of insurance reimbursement 85-90% of the time, but the amount varies from minimal repayment to full reimbursement. We have a team of insurance advocates who are invested in helping families secure as much reimbursement as possible.
