About Corner Canyon Health Centers

Corner Canyon Health Centers is a residential mental health treatment center in Draper, Utah, set in the Salt Lake Valley with the beautiful Wasatch Mountains as a backdrop.

We pair evidence-based clinical care with holistic wellness services. Our home-style campus provides for adults who need structured, 24/7 support for complex mental health conditions and trauma.

We welcome clients from Utah and across the country, with easy access to the greater Salt Lake City area.

Who We Serve

Our residential program is built for adults, 18 and older, who are managing complex or severe mental health conditions and need more support than outpatient care can provide.

Many clients are stepping down from inpatient psychiatric hospitalization and still need intensive, structured care to stabilize. Others come to us because outpatient treatment has not been enough to address the trauma, mood symptoms, or co-occurring substance use they’re carrying, or because they’re looking for an LGBTQIA+ affirming space.

About half of our clients travel from outside Utah, and our admissions team coordinates the logistics so they can focus on getting well.

How Residential Treatment Compares to Other Levels of Care

At Corner Canyon, we offer residential treatment, a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), and an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) on our Draper campus, so clients can move to the level of care that matches where they are without having to start over at a new facility.

Level of Care Setting Hours Per Day
IOP Clinic; home at night 9–20 hours/week
PHP Clinic; home at night 20–35 hours/week
Residential Treatment 24-hour live-in facility 24 hours/day

Frequently Asked Questions

Where is Corner Canyon located?

Our residential facility is in Draper, Utah, at the foot of the Wasatch Mountains, with easy access to the greater Salt Lake City area.

We primarily treat adults managing depression, anxiety, trauma, mood disorders, personality disorders, OCD, gender dysphoria, and co-occurring substance use conditions, with family involvement built into care when appropriate.

Both provide 24-hour care, but they’re built for different situations. Inpatient hospitalization is for acute crises that need a hospital’s medical unit. Residential treatment is for people who are medically stable but still need round-the-clock structure, therapy, and psychiatric support to work through a serious mental health condition.

Program length varies by clinical need, but most clients stay 45 days to 90 days or longer. Our team helps with continued care planning, including identifying appropriate next steps after residential treatment.

Yes. About half of our clients come from outside the state, and our admissions team helps coordinate travel and logistics so the transition into care is as smooth as possible.

In most cases, yes. Most health insurers have to cover mental health treatment, including residential care, at the same level as physical health care. We accept most major PPO insurance plans, and our admissions team can verify your benefits confidentially before you commit to anything.
